PM Richard GateCrasher since he lives in one, I'm sure someone has taken pictures of him.

"Wotcher:"

OED says: slang, a greeting of combination of "what cheer". I've seen articles that it came into use in the 14th cen. But I have to see sources on that.

"Does anyone have any good picture of combatant who use a wheelchair?"

Damn.... the message should of read:

Does anyone have any good pictures of combatants who use a wheelchair? (I'm trying to improve my typing.)

We had a private fighting get-to-gether at the local sports complex and the local wheelchair track club was practicing and couple of their members showed interest in rattan WMA.

"OH!!!! Mongotzu is from Britain. Thats cool. I always like it when we get British folks. They give the SCA street cred!"

Sorry to disappoint. I'm from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Why do you expect us to give you Calgary or Edmonton in place of street cred?

I think Ursus has a few pics of Aesa from Pennsic as well on his website. She's wheelchair bound with the heart of an epic hero..

I don't know if I qualify as a "nice young lady" but that was me. :D Not being seen until it's too late is one of our secret weapons.

I think our household has some pictures around of me actually fighting somewhere, if you want them. I think I might qualify as the very shortest fighter at Pennsic, so fighting shots are a little hard to get.

Richard Gatecrasher fought in a standard manual chair and there is an awesome picture of him floating around somewhere. There was a Tuchux who fought in a chair; I was told he no longer fights, but would love to stand corrected. I believe Leonard One Leg fights in a power scooter; I've seen him with a crossbow but haven't seen him the last few years at Pennsic.
And to my knowledge, that's pretty much all of us. At least in the States.

Fearghus McKenna from Ansteorra. Pic is from Gulf Wars 15. Doesn't get out much anymore. Fought heavy and combat archery.

Xenon's pusher, Oak, died this winter in a car crash. He was a great guy.

Sir Keif whom use to be in Ansteorra (I believe he is in Kentucky now) has one leg. A VERY high callibrated lefty, he would fight melees with a sword in his left and a single crutch on the right.

I understand that he's doing a lot of traveling on the tattoo circuit.

I saw him at Pennsic once, ages ago...he was fighting with two swords and using one as a crutch, when he wasn't hitting folks with it :D

Myself would be disinclined to call a person "wheelchair bound" or "confined to a wheelchair." Terms like that make it sound like a wheelchair is some sort of confining or limiting device, when in fact it's an enabling device, providing a person whose legs are not fully functional a great deal more mobility than they otherwise might have. More appropriate to call them "wheelchair users."

I have seen on film but not live, a fighter with a mobility device on which s/he sat like on a bicycle or horse, with a saddle-like seat that held him/her at about the same height as standing. It had two wheels in front and a tiller in back that was handled by another fighter whose primary task was to move the device and rider around.
