I'll just be fighting in my cap-a-pie suit. If the pollaxes ship by Saturday they should be here by Thursday. You could see the pollaxes on 17APR10 when Sean and I fight. And I'll need someone to videotape using my camera, etc! Please come and watch and help! Free food too!

Roundels on polaxes are period. You can see then in some 15th cent fechtbooks but I'll be damned if I can find a picture right now.

The more I look at these pair of wonderful pollaxes, I think that I'll leave them reserved for matched combats with fellows in historical armour. This is the "fine bone china" IMO that I'll put out for the very best guests.

I've got one pair of matched polehammers and I'll be making a matched set of Mandrake rubber axe head pollaxes that can be used "day to day".

I want these pollaxes to last a LONG time.

That looks awesome. I would like to attempt to build one. How much do these cost, Sir Vitus?

I cannot take any more orders for these things unless the customer is willing to wait up to a year for delivery.

Aaron, save them for special occasions and they will last a long time. Train with your heavier ones day-to-day.

We got the pollaxes yesterday!

These things are beautiful! The touch is downright seductive and errotic. The sanding job is so smooth it is comfortable and comforting in the hands.

My wife likes them too BTW! She's almost 7 months pregnant in this photo, and is looking forward to seeing the video of the fight on Saturday.

These are reserved for special occasions. Poor Sir Vitus' hands. His work is all over these.

Not to argue in your own thread, much less one displaying such beautiful work, but are you aware that tool dip comes in a spray form as well?
I've been using a few layers of the red spray tool dip to seal and stiffen the ends of sewn nylon web tips for a few years now without any problems (they last way longer than the swords thay are attached to too).
I haven't seen gray spray, but I know they have black.
