Make sure Sir Uther isn't there first. He's allergic.

Lucky for him he isn't in the tournament, or it would just be considered a two-for-one.

Tragically, Visc. Rey is already out. His daughter is very sick, and they need to take her back to the doctor tomorrow morning. He will be sorely missed in the tournament, but family comes first.

Bri.

That's awful. I hope she gets better very soon.

Thanks Marvin. We will know more for sure tomorrow, but as of right now, we're looking at sinus infection, ear infection and pneumonia.

Good luck to all the remaining entrants this weekend.

Good antibiotics should take care of all of those, but still sending good thoughts your way.

A pretty amazing day. The semi-final between Radu and James went for over a half hour. Several bouts went more than 5 fights.

Congrats to the big guy. I guess Gleann Abhann has the tallest royality in the known world as both Jon and Radu are at least 6'8" :P :D

It was an honor to witness, as the Sovereign of this Kingdom, the great feats of valor and prowess that was shown on the field of honor this weekend. All of the the combatants showed great skill, honor and courtesy, not only to their opponents but to the consorts and populace in attendance. Every fighter and consort that entered would have honored this Kingdom well. As the day drew out and the fighters battled almost to the point of exhaustion, in the end it was My pleasure to place the Heirs coronet of the Aries Thrown on My friend and one of My co-Knights, Duke Tar Radu and have him to place the other on Duchess Bri, who is equally My friend and someone who I respect greatly. It was a wonderful day and I am satisfied and comfortable knowing that from the high hills to the low lands of this Our great river valley realm, known as Gleann Abhann, has secured Heirs.

James the Holy hits almost exactly like a blue '63 Ford Truck, and I expect that Tar Radu hits even harder.

And, while I have not fought (or even spoken to) Tar Radu in about ten years or so, I expect he is still the decent, cultured, southern bred man I know back then.

I don't know Ashi. From what I have seen by correspondence and reputation, it would be a pleasure to do so.

The big win for the whole thing is that Bri is going to be Queen. She's quite good in that role. It will be good for the Kingdom.

I am still praying for Sir Rey's child. If anybody knows, please give us status reports.

I fought and lost two rounds - James and Ashi. I found a bruise on me that I'm pretty sure is from James and I'm pretty sure I didn't call it. Probably because I was too busy calling something else he hit me with.

And Your Majesty, I would make one correction to your words - remove the 'almost' from in front of 'exhaustion'. I only fought six fight total and I was fairly gassed from the heat and humidity. I can't even fathom what Radu and James felt like after that 40 minute marathon they fought.

I can tell you what it felt like. ;-)

Actually, not that bad. Mostly because there was no feeling at all. Too tired for actual synapse firing.

It felt glorious. Glorious because it was finally over. Glorious because he was not going to hit me anymore. Glorious that a fat, out of shape, lazy man could actually survive that. Even better that we both did.

Today, however, is a different story.

It was an Honor just to be allowed to step onto that field. The ability and raw talent displayed was something I have rarely ever experienced before. The list was loaded with Dukes though most have yet to sit the throne yet but will soon. I was truly humbled.

The format ensured the best on the field rose to the the top. Being able to best your opponent, when nearly totally exhausted, is a sure sign of excellence and dedication to the art of combat. The tales of that day will be littered with examples of sheer determination. But yet it was Honorable throughout. While I was disappointed I was put out of the tournament a small part of me was glad I didnt have to continue because I knew I would have trouble delivering a solid blow. May King John reign forever but when he fights to get his Duchy I hope he gets to do it using that format

I am beaten, bruised, and still exhausted but reinvigorated.
