Oh, I hope to - but it isn't up to me -

My lady's due date in THAT weekend. If the baby is early, see you there!

It's only "Your" coal if you come and take it. Image

I hope they have coal to take this year, last year they wouldn't let us play with it. It was still a very fun event. Nice site tokens too.

Is that the "off calendar" rapier event in Atlanta that "replays" a lone Spanish Armada ship landing in GB?

So Shameless how well do you Baron Cunedda Kell? One of my first SCA memeories was of Kenny standing outside of a fighter pratice in full garb. So I guess he was my conversation with an SCA member. As I recall I bumed a smoke from him. Hope to see you there.

I don't know him that well yet but when I bat my eyes at him he'll give me a smoke. And we've decided that we're the sexiest squires in the Knowne World.
Oh, tell him he needs to get a real pair of boots, neutered spurs just don't look right on his suede boots.

I'll be there, But I want to raid the cave and steal the coal. It's cold up here in the north. A few years back we set the river on fire just to keep warm. I felt slighted last year when there was no coal. One of our unit was the first in the castle gate and when she came back without coal dust on her I knew I was going to have to fight twice as hard since all I had left was rage to keep me warm.

Your Highness,
I had been planning to attend you coronation but now without my own transportation... *sigh*. Perhaps you will be willing to exchange blows at Pennsic. I am going to be collecting Peerage bruises. Image

Well I have a way down to Blackstone on either Thursday or Friday (depending on the person's workload) but would need a place to crash. So if I can get that worked out I *will* be down.

Oh I had a most wonderful time! Stayed in the Royal cabin and got to play with the Greyhounds. I even had the honour of witnessing Syr Rurik taking a squire. The people were wonderful and the site was beautiful. Loved the number of battles although I was disappointed with my performance, but then I don't think I'll ever be happy with how I fight until the day when I, and whomever spear I'm a shield for, are the last standing on the field. Image
I am very glad that I went (was really close to not going) and am looking forward to it next year.

Aethelmarc is a wonderful Kingdom. The people are nice, the calibration is reasonable, the force-levels are reasonable. It's great to see an SCA kingdom that is sticking to it's roots, and refusing to drift into the "new game". I saw some pretty gear out there, too.
Great fun, with a no-drama attitude.
As for you, Shameless- did you have a braided torse on your helmet? I called to you in the press, but nobody ever pointed you out.

No I didn't have the braided torse. I was in a purple and black tabard with a white chevron. I will have my device painted on my shield for War Practice so I'll be easier to find.
Between being very peeved at myself and coping with several very good head shots I just wasn't even listening for anything but how long till lay-on. Sorry I didn't hear you. *sniff* I keep missing people at events.
