Anyone have a better picture of Prince Wilhelm Skallagrimsson's kit?

See, now that is cool! Why can't they let women wear real armour like you have in movies! You look so intimidating, and for lack of better phrasing, bad@ss.

I dunno but I've been grousing about that for years.

What's really fun is that a lot of people can't tell I'm a woman at all so when I take the visor off they're surprised.
I'll post a full pic once I get a few more details worked out. I'm still waiting on my charles du blois cote, which will look way nicer. I have tips for arming points so I'm going to make some cord to go with it to match. And I melted down my old plaque belt but haven't had time to replace it yet. I also have to redo some straps before I can wear my greaves and make some brais and chausse to wear. I've been wearing my poofy fencing pants which are comfy but funny looking.

Here's a nice picture of him in a link posted in another thread:

I'd post the picture directly but I don't have permission from the photographer.
Yeah, he looks about 10-feet tall when you're facing him on the field...Very Intimidating Looking.

Is the guy on the left from Bakersfield? I think I've met him and his rather smaller friend "Achilles" a couple of times at local events. Good chaps, if that's the guy I think it is!

Can I steal this for an example of what can be done with mid-period kit's in the SCA? and if 'yes' then what should I put in for the title line?
Nice shot

Sure. If it helps helps inspire others in (and out) of the SCA we're all for it. I'm just sorry we didn't get a clearer pic.

Tomburr,
The 3 shields on the left were made by Sir Bartholomew Hightower of Artemisia. He does fantastic work and I wasn't willing to fly mine out to Utah so he graciously loaned me the green one.

Here's a pic of the whole thing. I didn't show it because some parts of it look kind of goofy.
My right gauntlet is busted because I let one of the captains at work punch me with it. Something got tweaked and it doesn't articulate right. So I am stuck with baskets til I send them to a certain awesome armorer and trade banners to get them fixed. >_>
My soft kit stuff needs serious work. I'm still waiting on my arming coat to get here so I'm wearing the old one I made. I'm wearing fencing pants and my damn boot fell down because I broke one of the garters on the field. I have greaves that match the vambraces but I strapped them wrong so I'm not wearing them. And I have no belt right now because I melted the old one down and have been intending to make a new one but haven't had time.

And yet, for all that, your kit
still looks better than 90% of the people out there on the field.

We were doing a fighter practice on campus one night about a month ago as a recruitment effort, fighting in public to catch some interest. In the middle of a match, I here some girls walk by saying, "What are they doing? Oh my god, are they LARPing?!" We proceeded to engage them in discussion and were amazed to find out that we actually hit each other. One girl insisted on getting a pic with me, so a lady in our group offered to take one for me as well
