Sorry, can't see it - I run Linux, no Windows Media Player. Then again, no Klez either. Image

Bob, check out the "crossover" plugin for Mozilla - it'll let you play anything you want (even run the media player) for $25 or something. Works fine, though it doesn't stop my moaning that people don't post plain MPEGs (as I run Linux on Sparc in work, so even "crossover" doesn't work).

The sound is very cool. Some of those scouts sounded pretty blood thirsty too. What were your rules regarding what blows could be thrown?

We were not allowed the thrust of course.:-) If there could be a small little "ting" to the helm that would be in relative slow time and safe to do then the "OK" was givin. We normally never target helm but in thses demos the kids like to see a little rebated sarcasim. ;-) We also enjoy a bit of shield shoving, grabing, and gabbing with quillion. On the 2nd scout demo it appears that the blue knight (myself) takes a dive. What happens is the sword strike glances off my shield and up into my helm. It just missis my oculars to the point of me seeing the blade! It struck at the temple and it kinda rung my bell! I just kinda stood there for a second before I said "screw this" and let myslf drop. My partner was worried but I assured him I was ok and just a bit disoriented. MAN, I love this stuff!

Is this a good example of Rebated Steel combat? Is there anywhere else to go and find video of WMA fighting?

Palymar- I would have to say that these videos of myself and a friend are in no way examples of any form of historic combat and are purley for the adreniline rush. I would love to be able to spend the time needed to learn the real old arts of sword combat.
I want to thank the posters who enjoyed the mpegs. I just did one in front of a bonfire for 700 scouts! That one is sweet as well.
I am in the process of having a ball and chain and a war hammer made for the next level.
We target shields and open areas when we feel we can make contact without actually breaking bone.
