Aethelmaerc War Practice

I am trying to make plans for AWP, but can't find any information regarding schedules.
Is this the correct website?
http://warpractice.steltonwald.org/index.shtmlIf it is, does anyone have the actual fighting schedule? Or at least an approximation of how busy Fri Day/evening usually is for fighting and/or fencing?
Thanks

Oscad, from what I have heard, they are finalizing the details now and should be out this week, sorry for it being later than normal.
But if it goes like normal. There is a Gage Tourney Friday night, not sure when it starts, i want to say around 7 normally, is ran as a bear pit. On Saturday, Field opens up at 10:30 for inspections and they try to get the fights going at Noon. Is usually a series of fields then bridges.
This year might be a little different, but time wise should be about the same.
Will post here when I get any real info.

Forgive my ignorance - what is a Gage Tourney? "Bearpit", I'm familiar with.
Thank you.

Thanks Finn,
Is there usually a decent amount of pick up fighting Fri day? How about in the evening? (Aside from the tourney.)
Sorry for my persistence, but I have been sent on a quest, and time is running out. I traveled to Blackstone Raids, but was thwarted on account of lightning....

The Order of the Gage is AEthelmearc’s grant level heavy fighting order. The gage tourney usually is run as a “meet and beat” where the Gage members fight all comers. This is usually a very “loose” format any and all can do pick-up fights.
The purpose is for up-and-coming fighters to show their prowess and learn a few things from the order members.
All are welcome to come out and fight.

Oscad, to be honest, no idea. I'm never up there Friday during the day. You should be able to find some on Saturday though, will be more than happy to go a few rounds with you.

Typically there is not a lot of fighting on Friday during the day. If there is it would only be a few fighters. We should have a good turnout for the Gage tourney though.

For many people AE War camp is Pennsic-lite. That means fighting just like pennsic small-scale but also working like pennsic small scale. Some use it as an excuse to camp ultra close to the fighting and merchants but others drift off the the outskirts and their 'traditional' camping spots. I'm going mostly to put stuff in storage so it doesn't need to be transported for Pennsic proper and to do field-work and land improvements without having to work around boundry lines and tents. It's more of a working weekend then an 'event'. I love it anyway.
If I'm not exhausted from shoveling on Saturday I'll definetly try to find you on the battlefield.

Sir Finn, I will gladly take you up on that offer.
And thank you both for the information. I will make my travel arrangements accordingly.

I have been tasked to cross swords with at least 100 members of the Chivalry, and it is proving more elusive than I thought. Estrella gets a dust storm, Gulf Wars gives food poisonging, Blackstone raids gets lightning...
But I have met some interesting folks throught the process.

Won't be making War Practice this year.... I'll be healing. What pisses me off more than anything is I've been beating the bushes for the household to make a larger than norm appearance for this and I'll be home..

Well it's not like you're staying home because you have to wash your car or something. You've at least got a legit reason to not be on the field.

IIRC, I have 31 more to go. I will be there Friday night, and trying to snag folks all day Saturday.
Rutger, I am always willing to fight with you. I look forward to seeing you again.

I'm considering attending for the first time.
Can one camp anywhere that there is empty space?
Are the food merchants on site?
Is there any pick-up fighting on the Sunday?
It may be just me and a buddy with a small round tent. No interest in bringing cooking kit etc. Also need to hit the storage locker to dump stuff for Pennsic. Being only 4 hours from my home I should hit this event.

Camping is fairly opened up. There are food vendors on site as I recall, and for better or worse, there is a mcdonalds probably less than two miles away. There is usually not much fighting Sunday.

Beast and Boar has been there the past few warpractices although not in the "Pennsic Spot" but rather across from the barn
