I heard the SCA does some throwing axe competitions, so I got my old Ragnar's Ragweed Forge franciscas out, gave them a quick polish on the buffer, and made masks for them:

Very nice. I've often thought that the francisca would be an excellent zombie gacker.

These bastards are sharp, too. They are certainly worthy of respect. I imagine having one of these thrown at you would be... uncomfortable.

They do all kinds of throwing.. axes, knives, spears.

.... they're terrible throwing weapons. They're too pretty. I would never want to throw away anything so nice-looking.
