http://delaflamme.org/amazing-sword-cuttingI find most cutting demos silly or boring. Not this one! Well, the crowd and emcee are silly, but hey, it's a japanese tv show.

Dang! If there was anything that could rekindly my long-gone katana desire, that's it! My goodness, that was cool!
Thank you!

That was both ridiculous and amazing at the same time. Cutting the airsoft bullet out of the air was off the hook!

The spot they did on him on Stan Lee's Superhuman (ep. Samurai). Was much better and to the point. 3 minutes...Not 25 minutes chopping static vegetables like a Benihana chef (I bet a lot of those guys could do the same with static vegetables sitting on a post). But the pellet from a scabbard draw is sick. If there is anyone on that show "Superhuman" that really could be called that, it's the swordsman. (Oh, and the fastest gun slinger. Their reflexes are truely superhuman).
I really wouldn't want to play against this guy's baseball team either. He might foul, pop or ground the ball, but you're not striking him out.

Isao Machii is amazing. I didn't watch the whole vid, but I've seen him cut a plastic bullet fired at him straight from the scabbard, I've seen him horizontal cut a bean, I've seen him cut steel sheet and I've seen him split steel pipe, too. His precision is spot on.

Agreed; I saw him on Stan Lee's superhuman and was amazed at his speed and precision.

Cutting the pipe was interesting. Did he ever get around to the steel plate?

Yep, it's on youtube somewhere, probably in a compilation video, but he did the steel sheet challenge too. They caught it with the high-speed super slow motion camera, and I was amazed at how "liquid" steel can look sometimes.
