Aluminum Basket hilt (SCA) search..

Post by Joseph »

This is my basket hilt, there are many like it- but this one is mine.
The reason I'm posting is that I can not find out who initially makes this particular aluminum cup. I am on a search because although it is awesome and I love it, I need a new one, the bottom clip is gone and I'm putting lag screws into the hole that is there now and thats getting old.

I have a set from icefalcon via ebonwoulfe but this one is deeper and has more room for my hand. It is also a bit more round then that one.
I have not seen others that are similar in online pictures.

That and 4 people have asked me where I got it, and I vaguely remember either buying from the AA or picking it up in a trade from a local friend here.

Sorry if this is vague but its worth a shot..

I once had one of those. I believe they are sold on ebay by Blue Monkey Armory.

That's out of Little Rock. I wonder who Blue Monkey Armory is. Alan Baudree used to work out of Little Rock, but that doesn't look like his stuff. I've got a set of his legs.

I read in other AA threads that they are a merchant at Pennsic. I've seen their ebay store.
Sir Gui just ordered one after I found out who made it.
I'll probably order another one as well.
