Last year, at Pennsic, immediately following the Battle Of Hastings you presented me with a coin.

Although I was unable to fight at the battle, you gave me the coin anyway and bid me to seek you out at or during the next battle (this year's Pennsic).

I regret, that due to mundane complications I am unlikely to be able to attend.

With your permission, I will save this coin and present it to you at Pennsic 43 (2014 Gregorian). I will due my utmost to present myself as a Saxon Thane and bear such weapons as may have been available at Hastings. Further, I shall bring such tribute as may be worthy of such a rank, should you be the victor.

I look forward to it.

I maintain the hope that I will be able to attend Pennsic this year. But that hope is rather slim.

Thread resurrection.

I will be able to meet you on the field this year, but will not be able to participate in the Hastings battle. All of my saxon gear will still be in storage.

However, I will happily meet you wearing my normal varangian gear.

Hopefully I will be able to participate in the crusader battle this year.
