Anybody have any good drills for a Triad?
Either Spear, S+S, Pole or Spear/Spear/Pole?

Lone sword and shield vs spearman and a shieldman with no weapon. If they work together the pair should win.
Lone opponent vs fully armed pair or triad. Lone opponent should be congratulated for killing anyone and should not run away (this is fighter practice not a track meet). Triad should time how long it takes to kill lone opponent and seek to reduce their time. Three seconds is good. Ten seconds is slow.

if you're thinking EK unbelt triad- drop the spear.
work 3 vs. 3 (triad on triad)
for fun switch guys up in each team if you've only got 2 triads.
if you've got an odd number like 5 or 7, triad attacks the 2 or the 4.
15 second time limits.
video if possible. discuss strategy after.

I'm just thinking of a unit for field battles.
I fight spear in melee, it's what I do. It's what I love to do.

Didn't you post on FB a few weeks back that you were having spear issues?
I was going to suggest talking to master feral who has a cool setup to work on your spear stuff.
Spear in field battles have to be aggressive - the time it takes you to put people down also is the ticking on them closing in on you if they are without a spear. You must use the range advantage while its there.
I'd set up 3 vs 3s and you be the lone spear for awhile to get the confidence up and then go from there. 3 v 3 would be fun but you'll have to get used to parrying great weapons and knocking around shieldmen . Its a bit more involved then the typical line engagements that spears are most fun for , but I bet you'd get better after a few practices of having to deal with a short window before you're overrun.

I posted on FB that I need to be amore assertive.
Which I have been working on.
I have also been practicing more with other weapons forms. Mainly S&S.But
I do love fighting spear, and have learned from talking with people that I am not as bad as I thought I am with it.
