What to do?

Post by Constancius »

I have a piece of rattan that's just over 55" long. I'm thinking about making an axe out of it. Possibly a maul like the one used on Braveheart. (the big sledge hammer that was used in the first battle scene)the rattan is thin and really light. What do you think? I think the axe would go better with my Anglo-Saxon persona, but either would be fun to use. Thanks in advance for the opinions.

My vote is for the hammer Image It sounds like it would be fun to use.

There's already a bastard sword in the canton. It's too heavy to use onehanded. I haven't used an axe or a maul. I think I'll make the maul. Image Should be fun.

I made the maul. I didn't get a chance to use it today though. I WILL use ut next fighterpractice though and I'll let you all know how it works. Should be interseting. Image

Any suggestions on how to use the thing? I've never fought with one before.

ever fought with one of them 2 handed bearded axes?
i use a maul pretty sililar to that, i rely a lot less on defence, and more of offence, and moving around a LOT, also if your fighting a shieldman aim some solid shots at his shield and you will tire out his arm real fast.

Sounds cool but if you haven,t arleady figured it out an accidental shot to the side of the knee can be pretty devestating.

I never intentionally throw low. I've been hit there too many times. I was born with a permenate barometer for a knee. I know what a bad knee is like. If I go for a shot lke that it'll be for the hips.
