Where do you get Rattan? This question is not in the FAQ lis

Howdy,

I've bought rattan from H.H. Perkins Co.....but their web-site seems to be on the fritz.

Who sells rattan?

Either at an event, or online at www.hhperkins.com.

There are other online supplies, but HH Perkins has done me ok. It runs about $21 for 8', delivered. You can specify that it's for SCA combat and they'll try to get the size you need and as straight as possible.

They really can jack the prices at events, but I'm also seen some decent deals.

I'm pretty sure Mandrake Armoury sells rattan, you can check their website.

Thanks! I'm trying to get a longer sword. Mine frankly doesn't even get over my shield very often.
