Put your message in context

Post by jester »

Guys and Gals,

We're falling back into the habit of not putting our messages in context. This leads to confusion and misunderstanding. So... please try to make sure everyone knows the context your question (or statement) is meant to be part of.

Example: If your subject deals exclusively with the SCA then you might put and (SCA) or [SCA] tag in the topic line. Or you might just say "In the SCA....." somewhere in your message.

Similar contextual markers/statements for things like blunt-steel combat, historically documented martial systems, etc... help us to provide accurate information, keep the discussion on-topic, and avoid some of the ill-will that sometimes arises from mis-understandings.

Thanks.
