First Fighter Practice after 4 years

Post by Sextus Maximus »

Aye this week I went to my first fighter pratice. Master Wulf took me under his wing and begin the instruction and details I have forgotten during my hiattus. I fought for about three hours and I never really got winded but boy my arms felt like lead afterwards. I am definitely going to need to beef up my endurance. It was the first time I have tested my new Lamellar I made and it worked Awesome!! :D I was so happy since all my armor was made in theory and looking at designs here on this forum. I am almost finished with my leather hardened bazubands. I super sheened them today and I need a few more rivets to strap on my spindly arms lol. The Helm and greaves will be tomorrow. I had a blast and was so hyped up. Even with the loner gear that rubbed a hole on my hands and the loner helm that bruised my neck. Just made me even more motivated to get My helm and greaves ready that actually fit me. Well I hope to meet some people that have gave me ecouragement in everything here on the forums. I also would like to go to Fighter practice that is during Wed. in Bedford TX. I was hoping for some instructions on the where abouts?

Much appreciated

Aedon Fraser

Glaslyn has thiers on Mondays unfortunately I work on that night so I cannot go on a regular basis. Wednesdays are alot better for me to attend so I hope to be going there as much as possible. I have alot to learn and catch up on so I am geared up and ready :D

if you are coming from Denton i would assume you would be coming down 35. TAke I 35 to LOOP 820 NE. go to 121/183 AIrport HWY
( towards dfw airport). go to Brown Trail turn left going N. Go to Hardwood Rd ( turn right). go down hardwood to the park. ( if it helps the park is on page 53/ 54 in the ft. worth mapsco 2001 edition

Last time i went which has been over a year now they were being held at the tennis courts and the pavillion across the street from teh tennis courts in the back of the park
you might get a hold of the baron of elfsea to gt a better time frame of whats haaping there being as old as my info is

hope this helps

Good to know that "you CAN go back again..." This coming Wednesday I'm going to fight at my first practice following an EIGHT year hiatus.

I'm planning to do lots of stretching before I start...these old bones...

Congratulations on getting yourself back in the game! I'm sure Master Wolf and the Elfsea crew will get you back up to speed in no time. Are you doing a regular strength training regimen? Be sure to tell us about it on the Monday Training topic.

I want to see pictures of your lamellar, and the rest of your kit when it's ready.

A Fraser, eh? That name carries much honor in Bryn Gwlad. I look forward to meeting you someday Aedon.

Thanks for the directions I hope to see you all next Wed to. Fraser is an old Family name so I decided to use it to honor my ancestors. As for working out I doing alot of arm wieghts and push ups. My cardio is real good which is funny most people have that problem. I will get my pics done soon of my kit. I a hoping to get the rest of my gear strapped up this week well I am hoping to at least...
