Hi Everyone,
Inspired by another thread on the Archive, I've moved the SCA Online Demo off of the HonorBlade and onto its own website:

http://scademo.com of course

And made a nifty new masthead too!
(Thank you Mistress Shiro for the artwork)

We still need a few pics to get it done, please help by sending in pics or by forwarding the link to your local lists:

6 of Cooking/Feasting/Eating
3 of Dance
1 of Youth
1 of Garb
1 of Equestrian and
1 of Brewing

THANKS!

Folcric,
Thanks, I can use that on the dance page.
:)

I have a good ammount of pics of children, and I'd like to get one of teens in garb -- even just hanging out would be fine if anyone has any.

Christophe de Friselle,
Thanks!
Good one.

Keep em coming!!

Ah the rarest of SCA species. The TiG (Teen in garb)

This nomadic species spends its life in a constant search of procreation and libation. Most often found on the plains of Estrella, the dells of Pennsic, and the valleys of Gulf Wars this nocternal species lives off of a diet of pilfered spirits and scavanged camp food.

Hardly ever seen during daylight hours, this species prefers the cool nights to the blazing sun. But when caught out in the daylight this species seem docal, even harmless. But beware their moodiness and unpredictability can be swift and even violent. It is best to keep a goodly distance between you and this animal.

The TiG has a hearty curiosity and a notorious mischeviousness. The glow of tiki torches and the sound of middle eastern drumming will bring the TiG out of hiding like Moths to a flame. These are pack animals, safety in numbers is how they survive. Rarely will you see only one out prowling around. More likely they migrate in packs of 3 or more, giving them a chance to scatter if surprised by a parent or domenant adult species.

Gathered TiGs will gather with other TiGs from other lands in preference of company with one or more of the more mature species in the SCA.

It is a rare event to see the TiG mating ritual. The Male TiG will show off a display of panoply and circumstance. Usually triggered by a quote of "hey watch this". While the Female TiG will show her approval with a high pitched "giggling" sound combined with a whisper to one of her accompaning female TiGs. NOTE: Female TiGs NEVER congrigate alone. Always in packs of 3 or more the key to wooing the one is occupy the goup.

Soon a clear heirarchy of popularity will form with the female of the species congrigating around the the most dominant of the males. But, unlike more mature species in the SCA cleverness is rewarded in TiG society. The Most clever TiGs are the TiGs that can pilfer spirits for consumption. They are held in a place of high regard within the TiG society.

The Nocturnal Nomadic TiG is one of the most bizarre and rarest species in the SCA. Its Nocturnal behavior combined with its resourcefulness make it a most worthy advisary. Make sure to error on the side of caution when dealing with one of these bizarre beasts.

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

Brasidus,
Thanks for the kind words, I defer the credit to the scores of people that helped bring the concept to fruition. I'm pleased tis been so warmly accepted and usefull to our Society.

Any pics you can send will be greatly appreciated. Please scan them in hi-res and at least 800 pixles on the short side.

InsaneIrish,

Awesome Site Sebastion. I can send you a larger format of that picture if you'd like. Its full size dimensions are 2288x1712, and can be shrunk down to any size below that. I've also got several movie clips of Tourney Fighting, a few battle scenes, and a few more of people fighting on the sidlines after a battle. Oh.. and a clip of Woglemut(sp?) Performing.
~Folcric

P.S. The resolution for the clips is something like 640x640

Here's a few TiG pics. I dunno if this is too old for ya. The boy is 18, not sure about the girl, but I'd guess close to that. Again I can mail you the bigger pictures if ya want them.

- If you can get it out of your email, mine will accept it.

- Can you chop it down to a more "sample" size?

- put it .zip'd on a server and I'll dl it?

Worse comes to worse, CD will work.
I can paypal you the $.

Alright, I reduced the image and sound quality a bit, and reduced the frame rate. Not as good as it was, but still sounds and looks fine. That got it down to 17 megs, then I compressed it to about 14. I'll mail it to ya after I get back from lunch.
