Ours were too, except I think there was a disagreement over who the entrants had to be acceptible to, the sitting Eastern or AEthelmearc royalty.

In the end, the Board decided (with the recommendation of the Eastern seneschal) that it was the AEthelmearc royalty (and regs) that presided, and that was that.

Ours wasn't too ugly (having spoken with people closely involved in the creation of other new kingdoms), but there were enough differences, and points of contention, that it was well past time for us to go too.

I hadn't read this in a few days, and I was just going to say the same thing about you. ;-)

You know - big guy, bald, sort of a Moose.

Last I heard Drogo was entering. But that was some time ago, and with the new baby - who knows?

Hadn't thought about Max. He hasn't been in the last few Coronets that I was in, so he slipped my mind.

I figured Gethin would be staying in shape - last chance I had to fight with him was Christmas Revel. We kept spotting each other across the field and would both say something on the order of "Nah, I can fight that guy any time..." - and we never did. :)

Don't know about Max. As far as I know, Drogo is planning on fighting in it.

Last completely unofficial estimate I heard was around 30-ish competitors, barring any last-minute withdrawals.

For a double-elimination, best two out of three format, my advice to everyone would be to bring lunch and lots of water.
