Fight For Kids Status Report

Post by freiman the minstrel »

Goode Gentles,

I am getting closer to Fruition on the fight for kids project and I wanted to thank everybody that had already pledged donations, assistance, or simply the challenge of an honorable fight.

I have learned a few things that might be a guide for others that might want to do this sort of thing. The biggest thing I have learned so far is that the paperwork is very, very hard. I am not very well suited to doing paperwork and organization, and this is clearly showing as this rolls out.

As of 1600 May 31st, the pledge total sits at $1500 US and 1 Euro. This is despite the apparant failure of the website to record pledges, or even stay up.

Gaston, Thank you very much for the offer of the tent, the assistance and the goodwill. It is greatly appreciated and much needed.

Dyffid Schabe-McLewis and Grendle, please send me a PM with your contact info so I can get you down officially on the pledge lists.

If Anybody (and I do mean ANYBODY) can do anything about the website failing to send pledge e-mails, or even about the website just plain failing for no apparant reason, please consider this my official cry for help.

help!

I have applied for a bank account under the name "fightforkids" at "Community Bank". Community Bank is the name of the bank set up here on the post so soldiers can do their banking. Its a branch of Bank of America. Believe it or not, they were well set up to handle European Bank Transfers and American Bank Cheques. The account is not official yet, but the customer service manager says there will probably be no problem.

Thank you all very much.
