Godenacs

Post by Aussie Yeoman »

Hi all,

I'd understood a godenac, and the spelling variations thereof, to be basically a club or mace type weapon with a long spike coming out of the top. The I happen upon this http://www.manningimperial.com/item.php?item_id=259 page.

While I recognise the weapon second from top as being from the Maciejowski bible, is it really a godenac? If not, what is it?

Cheers,

Dave

Goedendag. Think of a large baseball bat, with a number of spikes through the barrel (or just a heavy section of pipe), and a long one coming out of the end.

We usually refer to that Mac weapon as "implement of destruction #1" or something like that. ;-)
