Great deeds in the East
My congrats to Sir Artorius, Kings Rattan Champion, Sir Kennrik, Queens Rattan Champion, and Lord Thaddeus Von Orlamunde, invited into the queens gaurd.
It is worthy to note that Sir Kennrick (sorry for a likely spelling error) wears the most maile i have seen on a person. Quite excellent !!!

Oh how I wish I would've been there to see these great battles and deeds executed! Alas, mundane life came into play and I could not be there. A most heartfelt congratulations to all of the champions!
D., my congrats to you on your honourable display as you vied for the Tenan of the Couter. From what I have been told You were most honorable if combat and display...rest assured that one day the venerable Couter shall be yours.
Master Lucius Cassius...Congrats unto you as the new Champion of the Couter. Such an honourable deed is wondrous. May you defend it well and do it much honour.

My good cousin Roibeard, it brings me great joy to know that the Couter of Chivalry is truly in the great stewardship of Master Magnus, and that his fine name will be added to the rolls of its worthy Tenans.
I do not feel myself worthy to even have been considered to bear this relic, as absent of my Lady or proper kit, I was merely honored to have the great opportunity to perform a deed to celebrate its presence. To do such while charged with the Prince's Banner (who smiles on such efforts) did make my cup runneth over.
Perhapse one day when I have my 14th Cent kit together, if its tenan at that time feels that my worth is such, I will of course, absoutely and fully accept the great honor of keeper of that so sacred relic. If that day does not come, I will still seek any opportunity to perform a deed of arms in its presence, as such does bring me great joy.
I thank Lord Hedinn Inn Raudi, his Lady and all who put forth effort for the fine reception and ability to be a part of such a spectacular event. Upon my return to the Crown in preperation for Court, I did present the gift of Lord Hedinn to the Queen of the East in his name and that of his Lady's. Her Magesty was visibly moved, and I was again honored to be able to bring your joy, Lord Hedinn, to her.

East Realm King and Queen's Champion of Arms
Sir Vitus,
You are correct, there is no "Rattan Champion" it is the King and Queen's Champion of Arms. I don't know why folks continue to call it that, it sounds ridiculous.
The King's Champion is the Tourney Victor, the Queen's is chosen by the Queen.
From Eastern Law
The King's and Queen's Champions:
1. Will consist of:
a. The King's and Queen's Champions of Arms, also simply referred to as the King's and Queen's Champions.
Will have the following duties:
a. Defend the honor of the Crown.
b. Advise and assist the Crown in the organization of the tournaments to choose their
successors.
c. Further the practice of their arts throughout the East Kingdom.
d. Serve as members of the Royal Household, and attend the Crown in court.
e. Have the right to bear the regalia associated with their positions.
f. Provide to the Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer a written estimate of costs
uniquely related to the organization of the tourney to choose their successor.
3. Will maintain their positions until the next tournament to choose their successors. Champions may not succeed themselves.
4. Additional duties and powers of specific Champions:
a. The King's Champion of Arms has the right to bear the East Kingdom war standard into
battle.
b. The King's Champion of Arms may, with the approval of the King, cede his duty to
attend the King in court for the day to a gentle whose chivalry and skill has
distinguished him in the eyes of the Champion. A gentle so honored will have the
right to bear the regalia of the King's Champion for the day.
c. Upon stepping down, the former King's Champion of Arms is entitled to bear a White
Garter embossed in gold with the motto of the King's Champion of Arms - Justitia
Virtutum Regina. This garter is to be presented by the previous year's Champion if
possible.
In service,
Lucan, Caesar Orientus, 3 Time King's Champion

Perhaps using the term "armored Champion" or "heavy armored Champion" if the fencers feel slighted by the first term, which they shouldn't.
Sorry fencers but you are replicating civilian combat not armored combat.
