I didn't want any of these posted anywhere (especially the 'dancing a jig' pic). I look terrible. Since Ben's posted them, though, they might as well at least be larger, clearer pictures:

Cut me some slack; it was a hot day and I didn't feel like wearing all the pieces of my full plate. The bulky hidden plastic knees and "brigandine" gorget are pieces I didn't want anybody here even knowing that I owned.

I pleased that I was able to outfit three fighters from my personal pile o' gear though.

Hey Josh,
The plastic knees are nothing. I'll forgive them for the simple fact you got 3 people equipped. You want bad? I'll see if I can get a pic of me in the armor I wore when I was in Spinning Winds. I like to know if anyone there remembers the "ragman armor."

So practice has moved from Ogden to Manhattan now? That was the first place I ever heard of the SCA at.

Well if it makes you feel any better Josh,

even with only "part" of your suit on. You still look good.

Thanks for the compliments, gentlemen.

I didn't know that either of you had been here. I'm wracking my brain, trying to figure out who you guys are now. (I do remember the "ragman armour", FWIW. Don't know what ever happened to it) I guess a lot of people pass through here at some point. I'm really hoping that the return of the Big Red One will bring us more fighters. The three of us in these photos represent more than half of what our usual practice looks like.

Yes, practice is in Manhattan now; the Ogden folks wanted to start charging us money for the use of the community center out there. During the winter, we use a high school ten miles east of Manhattan. Winter sites are hard to come by since Bombers burned down.

I own a huge collection of armour, both SCA list-legal and not. I could outfit at least five guys if I could convince five guys to play on the same day, and at least one of them settles for half gaunts & basket hilt instead of full gauntlets.

It is no wonder that you don't know me. I was stationed at FT Riley from 96-99 and stopped in a couple of times in 98 to see what "this" was all about. Unfortunately my duties at the time kept me from playing and had to wait until finally in late 2004 in Drachenwald before I had the time and ability to participate. Call me a late bloomer! 8) I authorized for the first time last year at age 40. Still I am having fun.
