Hey Adriano, did Sir Artos or Sir Shaltar ban them? If it was Sir Artos, you could ask Sir Shaltar if he will consider them on a temporary/test basis again.
Westerners, we have forgotten our origins. We speak all the diverse languages of the country in turn. Indeed the man who was poor at home attains opulence here; he who had no more than a few deiners, finds himself master of a fourtune.

I've actually got two of the large red ones that I use. I did something a little bit different though, I took a razor knife and cut out sections inbetween making them into a four flange mace. It took some of the weight out of it and gave it better compression as well. They do hit with authority but I have no problem taking a hit from them.

Those look spiff too, thanks for sharing the pictures. I was thinking of doing slits between every 2 flanges to add some give.

I have had great success with my design. It is very neat and clean. I have sold several on ebay and have received very good feedback from those that have used them on the list.

It was Sir Artos; I never did hear the exact reason for the ban. I'll ask Sir Shaltar about it next time I see him. My new mace (the one I had at practice the other night) just has a section of one of those "noodle" pool toys taped around the rattan. Functional, but not as cool-looking.

Here is the Reasoning given (direct quote from pop chiv-Kingdom news letter):

Now, this goes into effect immediately! Kong® brand dog chew toys are expressly forbidden for use in the construction of mace
heads in the Kingdom of Meridies. I’ve been meaning to get that out since Border Raids but I’m slack. I saw THL Ulrich von
Brandenburg’s head split open like an overripe cantaloupe from one of those things. Ghastly. You know, nothing smells worse
than a dead monkey in the cantaloupe bin at the Super Wal-Mart.

Hmm, I know the larger Kong heads, dont compress as nice, as the 3" ones. I have a 3" one, and I seriously doubt I could split someones head open with it, unless their paddign in their helm sucked.

It hits nice, but no where near hard, and I have been on several occassions, let folks hit me with it, to let them get a good feel of it.

When I order my mace heads from the wholesaler I asked him to sort through and send me the softest that he has. I was shocked at the difference between the ones I felt in the store. I had several out at Assessments a few weeks ago, and with them not sitting in direct sunlight, it didn't take much at all to get 1 inch compression easily.
