offensive shield work?

Robin -- Just to clarify, do you mean "offensive" as in greater latitude in using the shield to manipulate your opponent? Or do you mean it in the context of an actual and intended punch (to disorient or unbalance your opponent, as described by Animal)?

i mean striking your opponent with the shield, currently forbidden.

i would also like to see what i would call 'active' shield use more often, meaning using the shield to manipulate the opponent. this is currently practiced in few areas as many consider it illegal (as a form of grappling).
