Calontir Crown

Post by Alcyoneus »

A missive from His Majesty Lorell, published with His permission and
soon to be published to the Kingdom Website.

His Majesty says:

Here is the list of combatants that We have accepted for this upcoming
Crown Tournament.

We shall expect each of the combatants to introduce their prospective
consort to Us when they are summoned into Our presence during opening
Court.

Combatants shall be called into Our presence by the order of their
fighting award. The exception being that all Masters shall precede the
Huscarls.

All combatants are encouraged to display their banners, shields, or
helms during their procession into opening Court.

The list is divided roughly in half. Those Knights and Masters on the
top half shall retire on the right hand side of the list field after
presenting their consorts. Those Masters, Huscarls, Fyrdmen, and
Men-at-Arms on the lower half of the list shall retire to the left
side of the list field after presenting their consorts.

After all combatants have presented their consorts, those on the left
side of the list field shall issue a friendly challenge to the Knight
or Master on the opposing side of the field that they wish to engage
for their warm up fight. These warm up fights are non-destructive and
shall not have any bearing on the actual Crown Tournament bracket. It
is mathematically possible that two combatants shall face each other
again in the first round of the tournament by luck of the draw.

We shall not be fighting the bye-fights during the tournament.

The tournament is an open weapons tournament, save that We are not
allowing the use of the madu or the bardiche. Combatants are asked to
re-tape their swords for the tournament.

We wish all the combatants good luck and good fighting.

Lorell III and Cadfael

I am the Darkest!

Corcran Mac Diarmata forever has odds of -0 to win Crown, until he does his penance for his heresy against Manowar by hanging on the Tree of Woe.
