here ismy contribution to this illustrious group.
getting this kit put together has been a long and winding road.
the arms and legs came from allan over at the mercenaries tailor, he has always been awesome to work with, did the custom decorative work on the rondelles as well. the coat of plates came from steel mastery, i got a good deal on this because they royally screwed me on the helm i had previously ordered.
the crowning touch is obviously the helm, it was made by jackie at shamrock armory.
he did an amazing job from just a few sketched i provided.

My wife is doing rapier with a ton of equipment bought from Archivers. Leather fencing doublet from Duke Gavin Killkenny, helmet from Saritor (resale...he didn't make it, he wanted me to let you know that), steel toed tabi from when we lived in Japan (yeah, don't look right but they are steel toed dancing slippers and she loves them, and usually people don't look at your toes), fencing blade from Baron A, elk-horn handle from Haggis, fencing gauntlets and undertunic from Zen Warrior armoury (recommended by Baron A).

Sir Arminius...I am in awe every time i see pics of that helm and breastplate. In my opinion two of the best pieces of armor i have ever seen. I know you and Magnus have quite a few fighting videos out there, but i haven't seen any videos of you fighting in this kit. Is there one out there you could direct me to?

Sir, two questions if I may, both from the first video of you vs. Azimar:

--Do you have any info on your opponents sword basket? I've never seen one like it!

--Is your sword taped "around" the stick? I was wondering if it was some sort of training aid or if it represents something?

Thanks in advance!

My wife thinks this kit is the pretty much the coolest ever. The helm pops a lot more with the faceplate and it was awesome with the grill.

This is what you need to do. Put your rig back on, and GO DESTROY. BREAK SOMEBODY/THING. This armour needs to be pictured in the center of a blasted, smoking crater of vile enemies. That would make some WoW nerd crap his pants with glee. We will get legions of people this way, and they will all want to look like you if you get away from that pool furniture and wear it at a charnel house or something.

Nice,

Years ago I was Marshaling at Gulf Wars and was standing beside Keif. I look across during a field battle and there were 10-12 guys that had all lost a leg that looked like they were in a Can-Can line holding each other up and hopping across the field that way. I turned to Keif and without thinking asked if it was legal in his Kingdom to hop around on one leg like that. He just looked at me like I was stupid. Think he may have even been KEM at the time.

Dang, do I miss Keif!

It is a little of a thread derail, but one of the most inspirational aspects of Kief, is how quickly you forget his "dis-ability" as you get to know him. He was my foster-squire-brother for a time, when Sir Ian took over as Sir Jon-Jon took a medical leave of absence.
I remember one trip from an event where several us went out for supplies, and after circling a parking lot several times, Kief (who was driving) said "screw it!" and pulled into a handicapped parking spot. Sean Micheal, another of my squire-brothers,who was also from Raven's Fort, got indignant, "Kief! What the hell do you think you are doing!"

He got that same look.
