Competitors vie for the right for their name to be the first engraved on the Sword of Chivalry, which has been granted as a perpetual prize by the Royal Armouries in England.
This is an official Royal Armouries sanctioned event.
This is a competitive equestrian event, not a staged show. Competitors wear full harnesses of plate armour and score points by breaking their 11-foot long lances on the shields of their opponents. Knights will also accrue points by competing in combat with pollaxes, club melee and other activities.
