I took some others, but they seem to have not come back from the developer; I can't find the pics of Raito, Sir Taka, and a few others. Only these two images so far, sorry. Hopefully, some more shots will show up around the Internet soon. Here are the rest of the GWXVII pics:

I noticed that the "baggy pants" look is a common one. I'm not sure where that comes from or why, as it is easy enough to tuck them into your boots and get a really nice bloused look - but then, perhaps it is supposed to look like hakama.

Thanks. When I first saw the helmet, I wondered if that was Nissan Maxima, and then thought to myself, "hmm...he looks bigger online".

God, those stove pipe helmets(they remind me of the rain cover for chimmney flues)......A bunch of kids were wearing helmets like that at a few lillies wars......they makes the coooolest SHBWAAANG! noise when you hit them.....I wonder how bad you could get your neck wrenched in them by a spear thrust under the brim?

Probably no worse than wearing a kettle helm.

They look a lot lighter then a kettle....at least the ones I crunched (granted ,they were youngins, so I'm braggin about my bronze medal from the special olympics)

Hey, I love those kids (though not the stovepipe jingasa). They acted the part of ashigaru to my samurai very well.

As far as that Sir Raito guy, he's on the left in the second pic.

The key to not having the baggy pants look is to wear greaves, which you and I do.

AAAGH! I recognize you without your kabuto on... but didn't know if that was you under there. I have a picture of you and other samurai sans helms... but it seems to have vanished.

As I am terrible with faces and names, can you ID the other worthy lady on the right? I know that I am beside Sir Koredono in the brown, but I can't remember her name; I met her once very briefly.

That is Countess Morgen of Rye, Aethelmearc. Squire to Sir Ogami Akira.

I would just like to state my incredible frustration at people who fight with japanese armour and flopping hakama.

That is so incredibly bogus. How hard is it to bind up the hakama below the knees? Cripes.

You don't have to have full armour (although it looks frankly really odd -- bordering stoopid -- to have a fancy do and kabuto and nothing else) but if you're wearing Japanese clothing with armour, at least wear it right.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my excuse for fighting in baggy hakama is that all of my fighting clothes got stolen with my armor a few months back, and making armor was more initially important than making the right clothes to go with it. What I used to wear, and will wear again soon(-ish) is this:

Nope, nothing ever turned up, which is basically what the police told me to expect when I filed the report. Luckily, between materials and tools on-hand, baronial loaner gear for things like elbows, knees, forearms, and gauntlets (and I've gotten everything of my own of that since exc. for the gauntlets, which are on order), and old garb I felt I could fight in, I was only out for a couple of months.

The next plan is to do all of the armor-related sewing (kosode/shitagi, hakama, kyahan, quilting for haidate), which has a goal date of mid-May, if not sooner.

I saw Sir Sato on the field and made a point to compliment him. Very impressive. They were a lot of cool Japs running around.

Sometimes, people DO suck. I wish I could say I understand the feelings, but I have to tell you -- I don't *want* to be in the position where I do. You know what I mean?
