All part of our Master Plan to take over the war. Don't be alarmed, you won't see it coming. ;)

Alot of those pictures were of the Left handed tourney.

"Be Sinister Two"

That might explain what you saw, but keep in mind, that we had several righties fighting as lefties for that tourney.

Cool, I thought I had magically transported to another dimension or something. I was about to go cry myself to sleep and hope I woke up knowing it was all a bad dream.

I hardly ever get to fight lefties and consequently always get clobbered when I do get the opportunity. Always my most painful fights.

Yeah, its fun to see the kids coming up, and thinking how scary they can be.

Plus, I enjoy seeing the comradship they are beginning now, that will translate into heavy once they get older.

Will be interesting how Duke Brion and Duke Michael of Bedfords boys do later, when they start heavy.

I only have a few more years of picking on them, before they are going to make me pay. :p

Who is it that has those brass joints and blackened limbs? That's spectacular, and a look that just isn't out there enough.

RenJunkie,
If you mean from the Vannes pictures, that's Jeff Wasson, and the joints aren't brass, they're gilded.

And for what it's worth, those couters and poleyns aren't brass - they are GOLD!

I have now posted 889 pictures from Sunday at: http://ursus.smugmug.com/gallery/581642 ... 6614_9RFwQ

This includes Opening Ceremonies, Combat of the Thirty, Lost Boys and Unbelted team melee.

Here's a few samples:

Thanks for your patience, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to post the next batch. Hopefully in about a week and half (not this coming week but the week after), but my life is still rather crazy and will be for the next month or so.

At any rate, hope you enjoy these. Lots more coming... someday.

Vladimir wrote:I wouldn't say "yank him off the field".

After all, he isn't breaking any actual rules. But I do wish he had put on a surcoat or something.

I'm hoping that the plastic was free and was the only material he had to work with, and that he has a half finished suit made from leather and steel at home.
Ummm No he doesn't.. He DID have a suit made from Aluminium that was fitted to him and worked rather well... I know this cause I had a hand in it's manufacture.
Then he kinda vanished off the face of the earth and his former rig ended up being dispersed bout a year after his vanishing to others.
I saw him for the first time in about 5 years the day before this pic was taken. When I saw it, I reminded him of where the shop was and he should avail himself of my assistance . He promised to do so and has my email. Hopefully now that the " before" pic is in evidence I'll be able to post an "after" in the near future.

The guy in the white is a Midrealm transplant to the East. He showed up earlier this year at a smaller Unbelted practice. He has a decent offside and I assumed got "real lifed" out of the Society while he was still fresh and out in the Midrealm. I believe someone helped make him the armor so he could fight. His weapon had an issue or two with the marshall I believe. I didn't see him all war til the last day where he fight alongside us. I imagine if he has time/money and someone to help he will improve his kit. Since I haven't seen him from about the end of March and again in April til War I would assume he has limited time or resources to put into the game.

But at least he was there on the field, the last day of a War where the "points" were thrown out.
