Fighting at a demo
Posted: Sat Sep 27, 2008 9:09 pm
I could use a couple more heavy fighters at this demo. I know a few of you live in the northwest. Right now I'm one of two heavies maybe three.
If you want in on this please contact Lady Fi her info is at the bottom of all of this.
Greetings Unto the Populace -
A mundane event is forming in the heart of An Tir that is not to be missed!
The Snohomish Festival of Pumpkins this year will feature an International
Pumpkin Hurling Contest with at least seven teams from the West coast and
Canada attempting to break the World Record toss of 1,866.8 feet set last
year by the TreBarbaric Team of Burlington, WA. The Barony of Aquaterra
will participate with a public demo and provide a volunteer support crew.
Previously hosted by the City of Burlington, this year's Pumpkin Hurl had to
be moved to a larger site in Snohomish for safety reasons after the
record-setting pumpkin toss in '07 landed within ten feet of the Skagit
River Park boundary!
This Festival of Pumpkins' First Annual Pumpkin Hurl will be held on
Saturday, October 4 at the 500-acre Bartelheimer Farm (10010 115th Ave.
S.E., 88th street Exit off of Highway 2 just east of Snohomish). The event
is sponsored by Bartelheimer Farm and Fred Meyer.
Each Pumpkin Hurl team will have five official tosses. After the
competition, spectators will be able to view the massive hurling machines up
close and talk with team members.

Greetings,
This is your friendly demo coordinator here reminding you that the Pumpkin Hurling demo is coming up fast and we need more volunteers. This is a great opportunity to see trebuchett up close and personal. Remember that volunteers are comped at the gate.
Here is a list of those who have said yes and maybe.
Yes: Baron Hauk, Baroness Rosamund, Dayne, Eoin, Robyrt, Roib, Angilu, Steinolf, Utgar and Simone.
Maybe: Wilhelm, Dadi, Mikael, Arnora, Tessa, Styrkarr, Crinoc, Soelig and Alan.
Right now we have one heavy and two rapier fighters, I would really like to see three or four of each if we are to have a good fighting demo.
If anyone else wants to sign up please let me know. My cell # is 425.359.3914.
