umm .. screw the shades .. the really good ones are already fightin' to their own dance mix as you step onto the field .. yer own personal soundtrax is a grand thing!
Ask yer uberdukes what's the song that gets them 'there' ... it's usually one that reminds them of what 'matters' for the win ...

I would suggest rowing machines, jumping rope, and jogging in a pool. These are my three favorite and they work well for me.
I also once met a fighter who would wear a 20lb vest and ankle weights then get in his pool up to his chin. He would then practice his foot work and throwing shots with a sylex(sp?) sword. He told me this had really raised his game to a new level. I was only there for about a month so all I can say is he was FAST when I met him.
I agree with the dance analogies in general. Another way to get your feet moving fast and on their own is to do backward sprints and crossovers. You don't have to do a lot of distance but just 20-30 yards of fast movement doing crossovers and backwards sprints.

remember those stooopid drills in the "pit" in basic training? They help.

Aaron : The Republicans, the group who freed the slaves, still tries to free slaves to this day I see. And the Democrats still try and make slaves behave.
Works in reverse too. I know a duke who's squire took him clubbing. When he complained he couldn't dance to anything post 15th C he was told fight florentine to the beat
