The list numbers and what different Kingdoms consider huge is interesting to me. I think the West this past weekend had between 40 and 50 and they considered it one of their smallist crowns.

I am contemplating this list while from my Tree of Woe.

Yes, well, here in Northshield (for a Crown), a 14-man list is a good size, 20 man list is jebus wow BIG!

We have 13 I think this Crown...and I think Spring had 13 too. This coming Spring though, rumor has it we'll get closer to 16... maybe even 20!!

Where's DA?

No love for the East or Mid Crown tourneys?

I have it on good authority that DA has been tapped as a new senior advisor to the McCain campaign. Word is that Palin was his idea. Or he is undergoing an intensive 28 day acne treatment at an exclusive clinic to counteract years of sleeping on a moldy couch in his mom's basement remixing slayer tracks in a sad attempt to launch a supercool deathmetal rap career and finally get laid.

Either way, I am just glad to quit getting his tearstained, crayon scrawled requests to be a squire . . .any of the rest of you guys getting those?

Wow this list is HUGE! The problem with a list like this is that it is so heavy at the top that there is little or no chance for even some very good fighters to win This does look to be a good tournament though.


Awesome-1 Baron Diomedes Sebastianus CTC- Win or lose, you won't be cooler than D.

8-1 Duke Andreas Eisfalke Von Ulm- I believe that this will be Andreas' tournament. I don't need to say much beyond that.

12- 1 Count Gryffith Fitzwilliam- Gryffith is ready for another win. He has great weapons depth. He has a great shot.

15-1 Graf Konrad Von Ulm- Konrad is a threat fo sho. But I am not sure he can get passed Andreas.

17-1 Sir Kenric of Warwick- Kenric is a lefty. He has gotten close before. He will have to have some mental fortitude to win and get passed some of the other top level fighters in this tourney. I am sure he can do it, he just needs to finally do it.

22-1 Jarl Thorvald Halversson- Thorson can win. He is too nice though. So I don't think this one is for him unless he gets mean. I wouldn't like him mean. That would be crazy.

30-1 Duke Vissevald Selkirksson I think this is like the 30th anniversary of his last Crown win. So I am giving him 30-1 odds.

45-1 Jarl Valgard Stonecleaver- Still hasn't converted in the East. I am not sure what he needs to change to be a winner there. Shield? Something.

50-1 to 100-1 There are some good fighters in this bunch, but I just don't see any one of them overcoming all of this awesomeness at the top- sorry.
