Anyone using Empire Grind ZN Paintball Elbows?

For those of us who wish to talk about the many styles and facets of recreating Medieval armed combat.

These elbow pads[/url] look remarkably low profile but I have no idea how protective they are. I doubt the elbows are rigid--in fact I'm certain they are not-- but with some small plates on the points of the elbow, they might work under sleeved mail. That's something my vambraces won't do. (Not that I have sleeved mail right now. Sigh.)

I'm also thinking of using them for cut and thrust, where my new kit will be "norman gentleman about town" armed with light cap, buckler and sword rather than full armored kit.

Can anyone out there review them?

I'm interested if these would actually be SCA legal, as is (or with a little work).
