OOP: looking for tek lord for Medieval Total War

Post by Mongotzu »

Wotcher

I'm having huge problems with my Med Total war.
The software company isn't any help.
Any computer types willing to help out a total Luddite?

Has anyone modded it for, say, Pennsic or Estrella (instead of bird flying over ahve water bearers running around maybe a ambulance on the edge of the map....

What seems to be the officer problem? *hic*

Thanks for getting back to me. I was hoping to spend the holiday break playing it till my eyes bled.

I reloaded it on my computer. You can play all the tutorials, and insta-battles but when you go to single player campaign:
-You can choose difficulty
-Choose a country

And start it, I get the loading bar, the bar fills up then it kicks me back to the main windows screen.

Any idea(s)?

Decalmont, if you want to <s> throw this one to the wolves</s> drop it down to OT, I won't mind.

My sincere apologies to all on this topic and the moderator. I was wracking my pea of a brain to find answers on this frustraing subject. This was the best area I could think of to post to.

Off to the Off Topic area.

First couple thoughts without having more information is that it is dropping to Windows after trying to load either the sound or video drivers.
Go download the latest video and sound drivers and get the latest DirectX as well. Load the drivers first, then the new ver. of DirectX.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. -Aristotle
