How tall is that kite you have in your pics Audax? That thing looks wicked huge. My kite is 40" tall I believe.

I wanted to give an update, since everyone here has contributed a lot to this thread and effort.
Sarah armored up today at practice and had an awesome time. She's decided to get going again and pursue this seriously.
So, thanks all for the help, and we both thought all the ladies pictured were both lovely and inspiring.
My wife's exact word when looking at Anjouleme's kit were, 'Wow that's sexy'

I think the nastiest bruise I ever got in the SCA was from Duchess Asheldr(sp?) from Meridies. She came up to fight practice one weekend when I was living in Midrealm. She was a graciuos and wonderful fighter, and she put a bruise on my arm so deep and purple it made my girlfriend at the time jealuos

I've been very lucky in the great fighters I have had the pleasure to meet, both male and female. People like Viscountess Elizabeth, Sir Kolfinna, Sir Joclyn, Lady Eichling, Baroness Genvieve... It makes no difference what gender they are, just the lessons I can learn by meeting them on the field.

That kite is 4 feet long by 2 feet wide. It is mucking big. It does keep my left leg unbattered.

Here are two (of the many) ladies who train at our Scholum at the Sunday and Thursday Ponte Alto practices in Atlantia -- the lovely Sisters, Kat and Lauren:
And here is Lauren in armour just before fighting (don't have a picture of Kat in her beautiful new Shamrock helm, but will try to get one on Thursday) -- and yes, they are that size (but can kill just fine, thank you very much):
Cunian already provided a picture of herself. Will try to get more of the Lovely (fighting) Ladies of Ponte Alto (including our Baroness, Katherine, who posts 'round these here parts).

KNIGHT HER!
While I am honored for the mention, I fear I lack, yet, the prowesse for such consideration. For every thing a time and place. But that this has come from you, good Sir, with all acknowledgement for the knightly graces, I am deeply humbled. Thank you.

Ah, yes, I believe I met those comely young warrior-maids when I visited Ponte Alto. Your Barony is much blessed!
The pieces of my lady's kit are coming together now, and I'll put up the photos of her in it once everything arrives. So far, she has Ice Falcon legs, some stainless arms, breastplate and backplate on custom order, sallet, Ice Falcon heater shield.
I guess we need to get a half gauntlet for her sword hand, then she should be all set. After she sews herself some arming garments, but that's her job not mine

Heh. Yeah, I'm working on a 2X3 footer as we speak. The 4 footer is probably a bit too big and cumbersome for me.

Max,
I do believe I need to schedule another 'business trip' to Ponte Alto
Wow...
Anyway, before this post degenerates into cat-calls, I will just say that my wife's cuirass is finished and should be arriving next week. I'll put up the pic of her in her finished kit-- that is the 'product' of this thread, after all.
My wife and I are going to be fighting together at Fool's War this weekend, and it will be great to be playing this sport together again.
