Jon the Tall Knighted in Gleann Abhann

Post by Ashi »

Before the first field battle at Gulf Wars, THL Jon the Tall was called before his Royal Majesty Havordh and elevated to the Order of the Chivalry. He stood in front of his kingdom's army, before the watchful eyes of the assembled Chivalry of the known world, and was presented with the trappings of the Order.

His first act on the field of battle that day was to offer to stay beside and watch over a newer fighter who was slightly injured (in their first ravine battle) and had a sprained but taped-up ankle. In this battle he did not seek glory for himself but instead guided and allowed another fighter to be useful on the field and enjoy the war.

Sir Jon is a fine gentleman as well as an amazing fighter most deserving of receiving the accolade. If you ever have the opportunity to meet the man or cross swords with him you should.

I had the honor of Jon being my squire and could not be happier for him. He did great honor to me and my house more times than I can count.

Congrats, Sir Jon!
You were my 'opponent' when I authorized for heavy fighting. *imposing as hell, I must say!*

To quote a Freiman question, "did you beer the bull"? Brandr not doing this for him when Freiman did the authorization fight for Brandr started a 6 month long challenge to end at Beltaine, in Grey Niche.... :)
(i'm sure I screwed some part of that up, lol)

I had the Honor of presenting Sir Jon with a sword during his knighting ceremony. Presenting and telling him and the rather large assembled crowd the representation of the sword and scabbard has to a Knight.

Many congratulations, my friend.

I met Jon about 6 years ago as my first year at Gulf Wars and all I have seen, heard and seen from him has always been nothing but the finest. I had the honor to see the Knighting and I am proud that I got to witness it. Hazzah Jon!
