I'll be there rooting for John Ruddle.

Since the Dark One has yet to offer an opinion I would update those interested by noting that Sir Conor and Sir Valdi have both withdrawn from the lists.

His Majesty Meridies announced the first round pairings and it looks like Saturday will be a great tourney.

Now that my knight is out of the mix I will offer the opinion that Duke Boru, Sir Cona, Sir Ulrich, and Sir Thomas are all fighting very well. Not sure how the bracket will look past round 1 but if Caspar and Boru meet in the second round the winner of that fight is my pick to go to the finals from the winners bracket.

Too much talent in the list to predict past that.

Caspar's first fight is John Ruddle, according to the pairings. That could be an interesting match-up. It's fun to watch Jutta (John's lady) hold her breath that long

My understanding is that Voldy and Conor both have health issues that aren't likely to get better between now and Saturday.

This is a deep list, and titles are deceptive in terms of talent here.

The other Baron Sir Malachi(Caid) and I had a talk at Gulf Wars. You people need to kick your version of Baron Malachi in the ass. Hes messing up the worldwide Baron Sir Malachi average by about 33.3%.

Slacker...

Take back those words!

This has been remedied, I am told, and there is no more imbalance in the Baron Sir Malachi universe.

Yep I'll confirm that. Duke Boru is once again Prince of Meridies!!! HUZAH!! After a long and hard fought bout by both His Grace Boru and His Excellency Caspar, Boru did prove victorious. It was a beautiful fight to watch and well fought by both. Congratulations to Their Highness's, Prince Boru and Princess Dierdre!!

The total number of entrants was 22 by the start of the list. 4 people had to drop out due to either illness or injury or even just plain life going on.

Other placings were Sir Thomas 4th place and THL James de Lyon in third. It was a good list and well fought by all. I'm sure others will have more to report later.

And Congratulations to the newest Knight of Meridies!!! Baron Sir Malachi Thorrson!!!

Worht adding is that in addition to Malachi's knighting, THL Khalil was made a SAble Sword - which in Meridies is not only an award for fighting, but for maintaining a period appearance and a high level of chivalric behavior. That was cool.
