Sweet looking isn't it. I kind of motivated Jeff to list that since I'm getting at least 1 to go with my Rene suit. I'll be ordering 1 tomorrow (as soon as my damn credit card goes to the next billing cycle) and I'll give my opinion as to SCAdian safety and effectiveness once it arrives.

I'll have to see how it compares to the solid rattan ones I'm building as well.

Of course, it probably doesn't feel as lovely and dangerous as the one I have made of rosewood. That was a sweet tourney prize.

It's a simulation of a PERIOD simulation of Period combat... It's just a hair closer then simulation of a PRESUMPTION of period combat modified by modern safety standards and simulated weaponry.

It is quite possibly the only thing we could do exactly the way they did it, with the armor they wore and the weapons they used and STILL be able to type on a computer the next day and live in the civilized world.

Now we just gotta be able to do that with horses. Anyone have an extra 100 grand they want to give me?
