Well I hope that's the case because I'm expecting/hoping to get my gorget in time for Great Western War which is drawing near.

Well, it's been several days now and I'm actually starting to wonder myself.

Actually, it should be pointed out that Otto is one of the good guys in the SCA armouring world. He makes inexpensive, munitions-grade armour and helms. However (for those who are worried about "where's my stuff) , you need to consider the following:

  • Otto is a one-man shop.
  • He just got a metric fton of orders, due to the "half-off" sale.
  • It's fairly early in the process.

If it were me, I'd rather have Otto in the shop, diligently working on my gear than on the computer. I suspect that in a couple of days, Otto will put a queue post on the Archive showing his progress.

I'll add this-

Otto is a SINGLE FATHER also. Things that look like little stuff to you can be HUGE to a middle/high school age kid.

Real life for your kids is important, too.

Well, this is as far as I'll go to try and break this dry spell...
The sale is what it says, everything is 1/2 off with the exception of the basket hilt and shield basket which I'll go $20 on.

Payment up front is required by Paypal or money order
Expect a 1-2 month wait.

This sale will end without notice once I have a few orders.

1-2 months Been barely a month.

Otto is a good guy, cut him some slack.

Well I guess I should of made my post a bit more clear. I tend to not type everything I mean out on the internets. I know he'll get everything done in time. I'm more wondering about if the guy is ok. I haven't seen him on at all now for like 4 or 5 days and I guess I'm just use to him getting back right away. I remember when I first came looking for armor a while back everyone here told me that Otto was one of the guys to go to. So I'm not really worried all that much.

I ordered spaulders and a gorget on his first sale.
30 days delivery time.
Pay Pal in full up front.

I will post review when they get here.
Take your time Sir... as the zombies are not upon us yet.
And I have a full maile riveted shirt, coif, spangenhelm, sharp sword, shield and spear to hold me over.
Not to mention the various axes.

Holding down the fort.

1.) I don't think anyone is busting on Otto, most I'm assuming are looking for updates or information

2.) When I ordered in July it was 30 days plus or minus a couple, I did tell him I wasn't in a real hurry then and I stand by that.

3.) I'm hoping all is okay with Otto and that things are going well for him. No need for anyone to assume I or anyone else is slinging mud here.

Updates, it does a buyer good.

Hi, I'm still here and yes, I'm working 7 days a week on the orders.
I hope that before the end of Sept. anything ordered up to the end of July will be out with the August orders fast on their heels.

I'll try to research all the pm's as I can get to them...
If you wish to be safe, e-mail me at sbvast@yahoo.com
problem is, when the pm get's full, it pushes the older ones off the list and gone. My normal e-mail address has much greater capacity and I won't lose the messages.

Yes, I work through the day, and have to feed the kids, clean the house, shop and whatever at night... so I don't have lots of computer time.

I have plenty of steel and rivets and barstock and such and I still have money for shipping... so your stuff is all in the works. Please be patient, which you've almost all been wonderful about... and I'll get all your armour to you before my rep hits the crapper! :)

Otto, I had sent a PM a week ago regarding my order that was placed before the 50% off sale. Any idea of a time frame? I have new fighters clamoring for gorgets!

Thanks. :-)

I'm still working on things... I've sent two larger orders out this week and hope to send three small ones tomorrow.

I'm giving more attention to properly organizing my order list and records so that I can keep better track of all order info.

I'm getting to the pms and e-mails... a bit slowly as I can only spend some much time at a shot on it.

Please be patient and I promise to get back to all who have written me.
