Historic Enterprises Linen Chausses, A Review

Post by William Frisbee »

I wish I could say more positive things about these chausses. But as they are close to perfect as they could be, its a bit hard to!

Thats a serious complement folks. I tend to be VERY picky about both my soft kit and my hard kit and when I got these Chausses today (thanks to Ceawlin Alreding's Pennsic trip), after I got home from fighter practice, I had to try them on. Perfect fit.

I got a set of red and blue. The red is a bit different from my roman red linen tunic from http://linengarb.com/, but hey, two different manufactures its to be expected! Both the blue and the red are wonderful, deeply coloured, and best yet, documented colours!

They attach to my braies with no issues (I think mine are from Historic Enterprises as well, but a bit older).

They get two thumbs up from me!

Thanks Gwen!
