I've got some 19 ga 4130 spring sheet I'd be willing to send you to have parts made from. Would you be willing to do that and if so, how much? I can get them heat-treated once I get them back.

Any thought to offering brass as an option for the kits or built gauntlets? Had a vision in my head of your gaunts with brass finger and thumb tips and brass rivets and armour washers on the cuff, red/burgundy leather....

Does anyone have a photo of this kit completed?
I would enjoy seeing everyones final results.

@Whonew:

You mentioned another batch? When will these be ready?

Whonew doesn't armour full time. He's a musician and vintage car restorer. Be patient, he'll get back to a computer soon enough.

Post by whonew »

thanks for all the responses...I've caught up with all orders and so it's back to fun [for me] stuff. I got 2 new "Tinker" longswords , these were the reason for the SALE I had on kits soooo I'm back to regular prices which just means you pay S&H wisby style kit with all metal bits needed in 16GA mild steel $275+S&H
1 set of fingers and thumbs in 16GA mild riveted to leather strips $125+S&H
Again , I'll entertain any trade offers up/down/sideways
Any material changes are extra [no spring yet sorry]
I normally sell this wisby kit finished for $475
I may look at selling hourglass or other kits if there is any interest. cheers

whonew, let me know if you need a tester for your hourglass gauntlets. I love your Wisby style, so I imagine your hourglass would be awesome too.

Of course, I don't want a kit, I want the stuff ready to use!

Let me know I get my tax refund soon...

I've taken just about anything you can imagine[almost] in trade for gauntlets and kits. armour , from helmets , armour bits to full suits!
clothing , gambessons , jupon , golves etc.
stuff , computers , cameras , microphones , ipod
the worst I can say is no thanks
PS the person who offered the crossbow please send an email as I lost your info.

Lufu,

It's more fun to put them together yourself. I'll post pics of mine when I get them done. Should be in the next month.

Is this pretty much one size fits all? I have some pretty odd little hands and I've never had a pair of gauntlets that fit right.
