Review: Illusion Armoring

Well, I figured my first post on here should be something remotely useful so I'll toss up a review for a set of gauntlets I just received from Illusion Armoring. These mitten gauntlets were my first armour purchase so please forgive my relative ignorance of the material.
I had ended up going with Illusion Armoring for a few reasons. First, I read several testimonials on AA that spoke to the high quality of work. As well, these gauntlets, at $180 (I had them strapped for an additional $30), were at a good price for me relative to others on the market since this was my first foray into purchasing armour and I didn't want to empty my wallet on a single piece. Last, they were noted as being in-stock, which meant I would have a chance to play with them quite quickly.
QUALITY 5/5
Being relatively new to all this I may not be qualified to comment, though these gauntlets seem to be consistent with opinions I had read of Illusion's work being of very high quality. They have smooth movement with no binding or butting that allows me to grip a shaft or sword with ease. I also like that the thumb very naturally tucks underneath the mitt while closed.
COMMUNICATION 5/5
One problem people had often encountered with Illusion, that I read, was in their communication, or lack thereof. Perhaps it was because I had ordered an in-stock item but communication was excellent. I rarely had to wait more than 24 hours for a response and they promptly followed up with a request I made for sizing information and measurements. This helped alleviate any doubts I had regarding ordering gauntlets from a small armourer over the internet.
TIME 4/5
Timing was the other big complaint people had about Illusion, though because my item was in-stock I can't comment on their turnaround for orders yet to be produced. It took just over three weeks for my gauntlets to be on my doorstep after my money order was confirmed as having arrived. Not a terribly long time, though it seemed abit long for an in-stock item that had to travel only about 280 km (175 miles). Mind you, customs probably held it up for at least awhile.
All in all, my experience with Illusion Armoring has left a very favorable impression and I look forward to making more purchases in the future.
*Pics to come*
