The 1 inch strapping tape broke right on the edge of the tube in all but 3 places on one end. I was surprised that it didn't take much, as I blew out the other end when I tipped it going down the stairs in to my basement.
The delivery driver alerted it to me and had me inspect the end before he handed it over.

Logan,
I would 3rd the bit on the strapping tape on the end of the tube. One end of mine was half off. The nice delivery guy had thrown some more brown tape over it to hold the stuff in.
But all 7 made it to the West.

yikes! ok, thanks for the heads up guys. im guessing the tape failed on the edges of the tubes probably from being slid across ramps to and from trucks/planes. i will find a better solution.

Now with
tip.
Need to find a local store that sell the chrome colored duct tape. Used to get it at Lowes, but they don't have any colored duct tape anymore. Also, find a way to color the rubber spear lug. Plus redesign the tip, abit too boxy.
Though a thousand times better looking than my old spear.

The vinyl chrome coloured duct tape. The foil stuff violated the no metal on head rule.
My now old spear in the pictures next to the shafts, I got at Pennsic just over 10 years ago. I taped it up with brown duct tape to try to make it look more wood like, of all things.
