Butted sleeves to stand up to SCA combat is going to be monster heavy. Chain moths love to eat butted mail. You would be better off saving a few more bucks and buying a riveted or welded hauberk

I know exactly know what you mean. But I have a strange/unique body type sort of a Andre the Giant and Santa had a baby look and with butted I can sculpt/expand/subtract where needed. When I buy used speedos I like to try them on first same with my chainmail :wink:

Im going for a Norman kit which I have always wanted to do since I first joined the SCA back in 1985 now I have a chance and butted is my best bet unless someone has lamellar or scale for a XXL fella. Thanks!
