I posted on another thread about this but his is the best place to put it. The brigs are running a bit later than originally expected. Should be ready in March. I will update as I know more.

Sorry for the delay....

Thanks for the update, Ice. The delay is unfortunate, but I understand it is factors beyond your control.

No the plates do not overlap. It is more of a brigandine than a coat of plates.

Cheers!

Huh. I wasn't aware of any historical brigs that had plates that didn't overlap. Learn something new every day, I guess.

How's it feel to take a hard shot to one of the plates? I've been putting together a CoP for myself, but something like this looks lighter, more mobile, and easier to put together.

Honestly, I am no expert so do not base any knowledge on me. The brigs I have seen did not overlap but I am sure that I do not know everything. ;)

The plates take much of the weight out of the strike. In some cases, even better than plate as it absorbs some of the energy as it moves. I think they work pretty well.

For thrusts, I would rather have plate, though.

Ah, well, thanks!

As a very occasional East Kingdom fighter who would really like to try fighting Florentine (I think it'll translate better from Belegarth than my no-headshots shieldwork), I think I'll stick with heavier torso armor.

Still, that brig looks pretty awesome.
