I've been searching for quite a while and thought it might be worth asking some other people.

I'm after one with the metal casing and was also concerned about shipping prices from the U.S., but it looks like it may be cheaper to go that way.

I got a No2 second hand that needs new heads for $12.

I searched the internet for engineering suppliers.

Can buy them new from TradeTools Direct. They aren't on their website but I know my local store has them in stock.

ok, thanks. Another friend had mentioned Trade Tools and I couldn't find them on their site, so that explains it.

they carry alot of stuff in store that isn't on their website. Staff are very helpful - I've sent managers scurrying around the store to pick me out bench grinders and vises when I had baby+pram (their stores are not wheelchair friendly :( ) - give your local store a call and I'm sure they'll give you a price down the phone, that way you'll know whether its worth your while going or not :)

Sadly they dont carry anvils any more though ;_;

Just in case someone else reads this in the future, it is actually cheaper for me to get them from the U.S. at the moment from www.hammersource.com
