Maybe what we need is to get Otto's customers posting either in this thread or a new thread with date ordered and items ordered then we can compile a list of known orders.

Would not be a complete list, but better then what is currently being offered.

Hell I think I will work on that tonight by going through this thread and adding my own helm and gorget just for kicks...

I've had the same feeling for a while now.

The list is huge my friends...

This is why I gave up hope long ago.
I don't expect my July order to ever materialize on my doorstep.
It just ain't gonna happen.

Get over it.
We have been had by the best.
However... I have been had by better.

I offer no ill will... Just the old Caveat Emptor as usual.
Suck it up and move along.
Nothing to see here folks.
Keep moving.
Go back to your homes.

If you recall, someone has posted at least once that his sale put/helped put other armourers actually out of business, so one would have to expect that he sold quite the quantity.

There was a post from someone who said they recieved 2 gorgets after Thanksgiving. I haven't seen anything since then about anyone recieving anything (Unless I missed something). Have any customers recieved product since then?

I received a helmet from him in December. July order that was a gift for my son. I pestered him a lot to get it before Christmas after it was due in September. I will say, that given the circumstance he put himself in, he still did deliver a quality product, and not something halfway put together just to shut me up.

I cannot speak for Otto in regards to his queue, or how accurately he sticks to it, but my squire brother's mid-July order came last Thursday. The quality of the piece was pretty good, so when/if the rest of the orders make it out, at least it doesn't appear that the quality will be affected.

My .02 update.

I'm pretty sure that Arms and Armor purchased one (or more) of the stock gorgets that Otto has been making and listing here on the archives, using that income to pay for shipping on the other items. I suspect he is also using them as part of his plan to keep himself working, by having small jobs he can finish quickly to keep him motivated to do the big ones. Just my speculation though.

I'm not a customer of Otto's, so I have no investment in this, and I am not really trying to defend him, per se. I mostly don't want his customers who are already frustrated get themselves more worked up that he's skipping the line up, when he has in this case been pretty above board about what he's doing. I can't imagine how frustrated most of you feel, and I don't want to see that increase!

I hope Otto digs himself out of this hole, so that all of you get your gear.

Or since June. I gave up though and bought a helm from another source. If I ever see the helm from Otto I'll be surprised.

A simple suggestion.

Give up. If he sends you what he owes you, good.

In the mean time get new helms people, if you were waiting on a helm from him to fight you should be motivated to get a different helm for now.

the money aint coming back.

If my stuff gets shipped horay. if not, im still buying a helm elsewhere to get a buddy into armor

Like i did with otto.

People "giving up" is exactly how situations like this continue to happen.

I for one am now keeping a list of people that have screwed others over no matter the intent and no matter how they're doing lately. Once bitten twice shy, certain West Coast and now Arizona P.O.S. as an example.

So feel free to give up as your choice but I would not recommend that course of action for everyone.

You are correct.

Except that if you look above my post you will see there are people specifically waiting on the goods they bought from otto, before they can fight or go to a war.

This is unacceptable thinking. A fair number of people bought stuff from him last summer, and it is almost _THIS SUMMER_.

If you need stuff that you bought from otto, waiting on it is a bad idea. Buy it somewhere else so you can get yourself/yourfriends on the field.

When and IF his stuff arrives. Sell it. Give it Away.

Dont wait on it.
