Questions about Icefalcon fencing helm

Post by Tibbie Croser »

I have some questions about Icefalcon's Lightweight Fencing Helm (item H-001).

Does anyone have reviews of it? Does anyone have better pictures of it than what's on the Icefalcon website?

Duke Andreas, could you do this helm in blackened mild steel with a dull finish? Could you also do the faceplate rounded like that on the Pot Helm instead of pointy in the middle?

How does sizing run? I have a small head (no more than 22", I think.)

We can do it in blackened steel with a rounded face. Not a problem. I would size it to your head. We make the helm so you can have minimal padding ( a close fit for better visability). We guarantee fit and will remake the helm if you are not pleased for any reason.

I have one that will fit you in stock but it is the standard design and not your custom idea. We can blacken it if that is your preference.

Thank you, Your Grace. At this point I'm doing research on the availability and cost. If you get to some Atlantian events next spring, maybe I can see some of your samples in person, and perhaps you can measure my head directly.

I also hope to ask around on the SCA fencing e-lists about your fencing helms.
