I commisioned them to make me a pair fo finger gauntlets as they were interested in having us represent them them here in the States. I paid my hal down and have not since been able to get a hold of them.

Anyone else heard from them?

I paid for a pair of shoes back in September that I've yet to see, or get an email response about. I've been told by others that the Ukraine shipping can take a very long time...like half a year, despite their estimated 2 week shipping estimate

The shipping lag must also affect their email response. Maybe they get email by boat.

I too am having some difficulty in reaching Steel Mastery. I did hear a rumor that they were hit pretty hard by the weather. Not sure if that would affect communication and work output though.

Last had contact about a week or less before Christmas.
They're usually very good, so I guess they may have a problem.

I've heard through the grape vine that most of their staff are on vacation until next week.

No they are not. A friend of mine is still waiting, and it's een years. And he paid in advance, all of it.

Just concerning the matter of shipping to the CONUS from Ukraine, I've gotten multiple packages shipped from there in two weeks' time.

If it took half a year, somebody was either lying or it got eaten and subsequently regurgitated by the Customs monster.

All the stuff we got from JollyKnight came in less than two weeks. Several boxes over a space of a couple months.

My purse from Willy Trambone took 11 business days to OH via Ukranian Air Mail.

I wouldn't imagine it makes too good an impression when a business does something like this on a sample... Kind of ironic that the guy who is best known for his service has to wait past a due date for product.

Orthodox Christmas happens later, they could very well still be on holiday.

I will give them another week or so and then I guess I have to write off the money I sent off to them.

Bummer. I was hoping to increase the amount of goodies we could bring to all of you. I will let you know if I have learned a lesson and report the results in a few weeks if I do not hear anything.

Some Eastern Orthodox national churches, including those of Russia, Georgia, Egypt, Ukraine, the Macedonia, Serbia and the Greek Patriarchate of Jerusalem continue to use the older Julian Calendar. While they celebrate Christmas on December 25 in that calendar, until 2100 this is 7 January in the modern Gregorian Calendar
Christmas celebrations end, apparently, on the Feast of Epiphany, which is 19th Jan (6th Jan on Julian Calender), so they may well, as has been said, still be in the holiday season over there.

My gauntlets came from over there somewhere also and the shipping was incredibly prompt, less than 2 weeks to my doorstep.

I just got an email from Steel Mastery. It confirmed that my order was taken and that most of their staff is on vacation till January 18th. Good to know; no need for panic.

Now if they would just make up to the customers they screwed out of hundreds of dollars a couple of years back, everything would be fine.

I just heard from them today. Hopefully I will have a sample of the gauntlets by February and we can start doing regular business with them. I will keep you all in the loop.

No, 6 months is about right... if shipped surface. Matuls made that mistake once with an order to Alaska (our first one with him). 1/2 a year to get it here.

Air freight... 2 weeks.

I ordered some brig on the 8th, hadn't heard anything after several e-mails, and when I found out their e-bay store went phht I started a PayPal disputation of charges. I just found this thread, so it's possible the holidays just threw everything out of whack. I'll let you know if/when they contact me.

Any news recently?
I just noticed that their website is completely offline.
Some of our fighters haven't got their items they've been waiting for since november.

The last comment says it took over 50 days to receive a linen helmet liner and another person in December said they were told some other linen items were not ready to ship after waiting 30 days for them. Not looking too good for recent feedback on ebay.

The website is working just fine for me. I have also been receiving regular email communication from them. There has been some minor obstacles with the language barrier. An email with a picture of what I wanted fixed that. My last email from them was on February 17th of this year.

I got a response from them about a week and a half ago with regards to the order I placed in Sept. that basically said "We don't know when we'll be filling your order due to problems with our manufacturer". And no response to my request for a refund. :x

I'm figuring this is a case of they speak english fine when they want your money, and they lose the ability to translate when people want their money back or they item they ordered.

They exceed their bandwidth quota and lose there website for a time fairly regularly.
