I am assuming that these are mainly for adding protection for things like hockey gloves or added protection for finger gauntlets? I am working on something along those lines in hardened leather.

Hardened leather would be pretty cool I think. I am not sure if I am going to end up needing some for my gauntlets down the road when I get around to using them for the first few times.

They are very helpful If you have ever broken a finger in hockey gloves.
I often hear them called finger bucklers.
Its just a simple 4" disk shaped and straped.
If you want to get fancy add a coat of paint. Rolling the edge would be a more advanced project.

A white escarbuncle on Red would kickass.

Let me fuss around a little in the garage this weekend and see what I can come up with.

The bucklers pictured come leather lined and padded.
